Discipleship Groups (DGs) provide intentional time in God’s Word (along with Discipleship Journey Guides) with other believers, creating space for spiritual growth and discipleship as we seek to live out Jesus’ commission in Matthew 28:18–20. These small, intentional groups meet weekly on Wednesdays during Family Fellowship to:
- Share reflections and insights from your Scripture Reading Journal
- Pray for and with one another
- Grow in Christ-centered relationships - Encourage and challenge each other
- Live out their faith in everyday life
- Glorify God in all things
DGs aim to be both inwardly strong and outwardly focused.
Goal 1: Inwardly Strong
- Scriptural - Read one chapter of Scripture each weekday (weekends off), completing it in two years, plus a memory verse every two weeks.
- Communal - Strengthen relationships and be enriched by sharing insights from journal.
- Accountable - Foster honesty and transparency as you walk in the light of Christ together.
- Prayerful - Carry one another's burdens through grace-filled prayer.
Goal 2: Outwardly Focused
- Missional - Encourage members to live out Christ's mission by loving and serving at home, building up the church, and living as faithful witnesses to Jesus in everyday life.
- Reproducible - Commit to making more disciples by multiplying the group at the end of two years.
Thank you for your interest in joining a Discipleship Group! Before the first Wednesday Night Family Fellowship, you will receive notification of the DG to which you have been assigned. We look forward to walking alongside you as we grow together in Christ, mature as His disciples, and participate in His mission of making disciples of all nations.
